Prayer
Pick a short route, go with one or two others, pray quietly for what you see, be ready to offer prayer to anyone you meet, write down what you noticed, and make it a rhythm.

“Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
Jeremiah 29:7
Prayer walking is simple: you walk through a place and pray for it as you go, with your eyes open. Your street. Your kid's school. The main road downtown. The hospital. It turns an ordinary walk into intercession, and it changes how you see the people around you.
God told his people in exile to pray for the city where they lived:
Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper. (Jeremiah 29:7)
You do not need special training. Here is how to start.
Start small and close to home. Your own street or neighbourhood is ideal: you will walk past these homes again and again. Other good routes:
Twenty to forty minutes is plenty.
You can prayer walk alone, but it is easier to stay focused with someone else. Walk at a normal pace and pray conversationally, out loud but quietly, as if you are talking with a friend. Take turns. Nobody needs to know you are praying unless they ask.
Let what is in front of you prompt your prayers:
Pray blessing, not just problems. Thank God for what is good in the place.
Sometimes someone will ask what you are doing, or you will cross paths with a neighbour. Be normal and warm. If it feels right, ask: "We are walking around praying for the neighbourhood. Is there anything we could pray for you about?" Many people say yes. The pray with someone card has a simple way to ask and a short prayer.
Prayer walking is not a performance. Do not be loud, strange or spooky about it. Respect private property and people's privacy. You are simply asking God to bless the place he has put you.
After you finish, take five minutes to note what you saw, what you prayed, and anyone you met. If someone shared a need, write down their name and the request so you can pray again and check in. That is exactly what Kingdom Base is for.
One prayer walk is good. A weekly or monthly walk over the same route is better. You will start to notice changes, recognise neighbours, and find natural openings to talk about Jesus.
When churches across a city start praying together like this, things change. When a city gathers: what unity unlocks tells that bigger story.
Kingdom Base also has a free Prayer Walk mode for praying through the people you have met, one name at a time. Start free, and pair this with how to pray for unsaved family and friends.
A prayer walk is walking through a place, such as your street, a school or a main road, and praying for it as you go, with your eyes open. Jeremiah 29:7 tells God's people to pray for the peace and prosperity of the city where they live.
Choose a 20 to 40 minute route, go with one or two others, pray quietly and conversationally for what you see, bless what is good as well as praying for needs, offer to pray for anyone you meet, and note what you noticed afterward.
You can pray silently or quietly out loud like a normal conversation. Prayer walking is not a performance; nobody needs to know you are praying unless they ask.
Nobody forgotten. Kingdom Base is a free command center for the Great Commission — log the people you meet, follow up faithfully, and make disciples. Start free.
