🕊️ You Just Said Yes to Jesus. What Happens Now?

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

2 Corinthians 5:17

If you prayed and gave your life to Jesus recently — genuinely, welcome to the family. Something real happened, and it happened whether or not you felt fireworks.

Here's what's true right now, before you do anything else to earn it.

What is already settled

Feelings will come and go this week. None of the four things above depend on them.

You didn't clean yourself up to be accepted. You were accepted, and now He cleans you up. In that order, always.

If you want this unpacked slowly and without church vocabulary, I AM REBORN was built for this exact week of your life.

Five things to do in your first week

1. Talk to God like He's in the room. He is. No special words, no posture requirements. Out loud in the car counts.

2. Start reading the book of John. Not Genesis, not Revelation. John — it's an eyewitness account of Jesus. A chapter a day. Ask one question per chapter: *what does this show me about who He is?*

3. Tell one person. Say it out loud to somebody. It makes it real, and it's the first brick of a new life. If you're nervous, start with whoever prayed with you.

4. Find a church family this Sunday. Not a perfect one — a real one, where the Bible is taught and people know each other's names. You cannot do this alone and were never meant to.

5. Expect resistance and don't panic. Old habits, old voices, old friends. Struggling doesn't mean it didn't take. It means you're alive and something is contested.

What if I blow it

You will. Everybody does. 1 John 1:9 is the whole procedure: tell Him, He forgives, keep walking. Grace is not a limited-use coupon.

Falling down isn't the end of your walk with God. Staying down and hiding is what does damage — and hiding is exactly what the enemy will suggest.

You already have something to give

Here's the part nobody tells new believers: you're the most effective evangelist in the room right now. You still speak the language of the people you came from, and they've watched you change.

Think of the 8 to 15 people closest to you. Oikos Map helps you see them at a glance and pray for them by name. Start there. Not with a sermon — with your story and a genuine question.

For whoever is walking them through this

If you led someone to Jesus, your job isn't finished — it just became the important part. Write their name down today. Set a next step. Check in this week and next.

Kingdom Base is free and built for this: log them, track their discipleship steps, get reminded before you forget, and record what God does. And if you want the wider picture of what this movement is, Love on The World and Seek First are good places to keep reading.

Nobody forgotten. Especially not the ones who just got home.

Nobody forgotten. Kingdom Base is a free command center for the Great Commission — log the people you meet, follow up faithfully, and make disciples. Start free.
