Most Christians believe two things at once: that people without Jesus are genuinely lost, and that talking to them about it is somebody else's job.
That contradiction is exhausting to carry. Let's take it apart.
"I'm not gifted at this." Ephesians 4 lists evangelist as one gift among several — but the Great Commission was given to all the disciples, not the gifted subset. Some people are gifted at generosity. Everyone still gives.
"I don't know enough." The blind man in John 9 got cross-examined by professional theologians and his entire defence was: *I was blind, now I see.* It held. You are not the evidence's lawyer; you're its exhibit.
"I'll ruin it." God is not one clumsy sentence away from losing someone. He has been drawing that person long before you opened your mouth, and He'll keep going after you walk away.
Your job is not to close. Your job is to be kind, be honest, and be one link in a chain God has been building for years.
Having done a lot of this badly before doing any of it well, here's what holds up:
Jesus sent them out in pairs, and He wasn't being sentimental. Two people means courage, prayer cover, and someone to debrief with when it goes sideways.

Matthew 10:8 is not a metaphor: heal the sick, drive out demons, freely give what you freely received. Offer to pray for pain. Sometimes nothing perceptible happens and you keep loving the person. Sometimes something happens that you'll be telling people about for years.
Write those down too. Revelation 12:11 says they overcame by the blood of the Lamb *and by the word of their testimony* — your recorded testimonies become somebody else's faith later. Kingdom Base has a Wall of Miracles for precisely that reason.

The harvest was never the problem. Jesus said it plainly: the harvest is plentiful, the workers are few. Be one of the few.
