Somewhere along the way we absorbed the idea that ministry is what happens in a building on Sunday and work is what pays for it. Scripture doesn't split the week like that.

Adam was given work before the fall. Jesus spent the overwhelming majority of His adult life in a workshop, not a pulpit, and the Father called that life pleasing before a single sermon.

Your work is not a funding mechanism for your real calling

It might fund the mission. It is also *part* of the mission.

Excellence preaches. Doing honest work well, on time, at a fair price is an argument for the gospel that cynics can't easily dismiss.
How you treat people is discipleship. Your staff learn more about Christ from how you handle a bad quarter than from anything on the wall.
Provision creates capacity. Profit in the hands of a generous believer becomes outreach, relief, and free tools for the Church.
Proximity is access. You have relationships with people who will never attend a service.

If God gave you a business, He didn't give you a distraction from ministry. He gave you a platform with a payroll.

Don't do it alone
