When the man freed from the legion begged to follow Jesus into the boat, Jesus said no. Not because he wasn't wanted — because there was a village that needed to see him with clothes on and his right mind back.
His mission field was the people who already knew his name.
The New Testament word *oikos* means household — but in the first century it stretched far past blood relatives. It meant your whole relational world: family, workers, neighbours, regulars, friends of friends. Whole oikos units came to faith together throughout Acts. Cornelius. Lydia. The Philippian jailer.
Sociologists now say the average adult has 8 to 15 people in genuine relational reach. That's not a small number. That's a village.
You are already standing in the middle of your assignment. You just haven't named it yet.
Most believers carry a low-grade guilt about evangelism because they picture a megaphone and a street corner. But the most fruitful evangelism in history has traveled along relationships, not through strangers.
